The most recent tournament for the youth participants in the Escalon Wrestling Club was hosted in Hughson on Sunday, Dec. 21.

Four wrestlers came away with some hardware.

In second place, taking a silver medal, was Kennedy Van Dyk in the 70- to 80-pound weight class, competing in the 12u girls division. Fourth place finishers picking up medals were Brody Gentry at 80 pounds in 12u; Cody Gentry at 75 pounds in 10u; and Ezekiel Mendez at 70 pounds in 8u.

Also competing were Josiah Freitas, 48 pounds, 6u; Austin Sanchez, 87 pounds, 10u; Luke Sanchez, 70 pounds, 10u; Keegan Lewellen, 111 pounds, 10u (Also competed in 12u, 107 pounds); and Anthony Teicheira, 106 pounds, 15u.
