Members of the El Portal Bowling League met in weekly action recently at McHenry Bowl and three teams tied at the top during the competition. Memorial Splitting Headaches, Pin Ups and Elaine’s Travel were all at 12-4. Dutch Girls was next at 10-6, followed by Foxie Ladies, 9½-6½; Better Late Than Never!, 9-7; We Been Robbed, 8½-7½; Bartelink Dairy, Escalon Body & Frame, 7-9; U-3 Ranch, 5-11; What The Heck, 3-13.

Top scores for the week came from Mary Panero, 180 scratch game and 452 scratch series, Delores Borba, 239 handicap game; Lenny Nottley, 622 handicap series.

On the lanes in week 20, Dutch Girls rolled a 10-2 to settle in to the top spot. Next were Memorial Splitting Headaches, 9-3; Better Late Than Never!, Pin Ups, Elaine’s Travel, 8-4; We Been Robbed, 7½-4½; Bartelink Dairy, 7-5; Foxie Ladies, 6½-5½; Escalon Body & Frame, 4-8; What The Heck, 2-10; and U-3 Ranch, 1-11. Leading the individual categories were Jeanne Brand, 193 scratch game, Cindy Kruger, 497 scratch series, Erlene Price, 273 handicap game and 715 handicap series.

Earlier action saw Pin Ups on top at 7-1. They were followed by We Been Robbed at 6½-1½; Dutch Girls, 6-2; Better Late Than Never!, Memorial Splitting Headaches, Elaine’s Travel, 5-3; Bartelink Dairy, 4-4; Escalon Body & Frame, 3-5; Foxie Ladies, 2½– 5½; What The Heck, 2-6; U-3 Ranch, 1-7.

For the week, Stacy Lub had the high scratch game, 175 and high scratch series, 469; tied with Suzanne Prater for the 224 high handicap game; and Prater had the high handicap series, 637.

Leaders for the season to date are: Cindy Kruger, 161.21 individual high average; Kelly Homen, 550 scratch series; Chris Magana and Anita Hay, 209 scratch game; Erlene Price, 715 handicap series; Sandy Cox, 268 handicap game.

The league meets Thursdays at 10 a.m., McHenry Bowl in Modesto.
