Club wrestlers travel to Junior Bulldog Classic

Action for members of the Escalon Wrestling Club featured a trip to the SCWAY Jr. Bulldog Classic hosted at Turlock High School on Sunday, Dec. 7.

Twelve young wrestlers from Escalon took part.

Earning a first place, gold, was Aiden Yates-Perreira at 140 pounds in the 12u category. Finishing second with a silver was Kennedy Van Dyk, wrestling in the 12u girls division at 80 pounds.

Brody Gentry took third at 80 pounds in the 12u division while Ezekiel Mendez was fourth at 70 pounds in the 8u division and Cody Gentry was fourth in the 75-pound bracket at 10u.

Also taking the mats for the Escalon Wrestling Club were Hunter Barrett, 44 pounds, 6u; Josiah Freitas, 48 pounds, 6u; Austin Sanchez, 80-87 pound bracket, 10u; Keegan Lewellen, 111 pounds, 10u. Also, Garrett Gains, 80 pounds, 12u; Jax Teixeira, 87 pounds, 12u; Anthony Teicheira, 106 pounds, 12u.
