Peter Bonzi Jr., 82, of Escalon died Tuesday, May 24 at his home.
Born in Albany, California, he had lived in Escalon and the surrounding area all his life.
He was a veteran of the Navy. He loved to play cards, especially pinochle, skip-o and cribbage. He also looked forward to going and listening to accordion music. He loved to garden.
Survivors include his children, Susan Bonzi Cogan of Fremont and Peter Bonzi III of Modesto; stepdaughter Timma Dodson of Modesto; siblings, Valentina Del Rosso of Ceres, Doris Charvet of San Francisco and Katherine Collins of Escalon; granddaughter, Summer Lynn Clausen and great-granddaughter Constance Brooke Clausen.
No visitation. Memorial service was on Friday, May 27 at Deegan Funeral Chapel, Escalon, with private burial at Burwood Cemetery, Escalon.
Remembrances may be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
