Millie O’Gorman passed away on September 25, 2018 at the age of 98 in Modesto. Millie was born on June 22, 1920 to Mr. and Mrs. Marion Young in Indiana. At the age of 8, Millie came to California and has been a resident of Escalon and Farmington ever since.
Millie worked at the Tracy Defense Depot for many years and was part owner of two businesses with both of her late husbands. Millie enjoyed playing cards with her friends and also keeping the altar up at the Farmington Methodist Church. Millie will be remembered for her determination and ability to accomplish whatever she set her mind to.
Millie leaves behind her daughter, Viola Hartley (Ned), grandson, Craig Nelson (Michel), granddaughters, Cindy Mello (Alan), Kelli Hartley Lawrence (Joe) and Alicia Hartley and her step-daughter, Patty Guadagnolo (Rick). She also leaves behind her six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Millie is preceded in death by her first husband, Wallace E. Dahlin and her second husband, Charles “Lucky” O’Gorman, her sons, Eldon Dahlin and Kurtis Dahlin and her daughter, Eleanor Dahlin.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 29 at 10 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon.
