Our beautiful Aunt Marilyn completed her remarkable journey of 100 amazing years on this earth on February 10, 2026.

In her final years, Marilyn moved up to be with her nephew Doug Miller (Brenda Marmon) in Oakdale CA. Shortly after her move to Oakdale, she moved into Brenda’s Place (RCFE) in Escalon, CA where she made many new friends and cherished all the caregivers/residents and treated them like family. Marilyn was truly one of a kind – beautiful, elegant, intelligent and wonderfully funny. She had a signature sparkle in her eye and a playful spirit that made everyone around her smile.

Known for her charm, Marilyn had a special fondness for any “man in uniform” and never missed a chance to share a little flirt, a big hug and a joyful laugh! But let’s not forget a man whose name would light up her face – Charlie. One mention of taking her to the “Cow Track” to see Charlie brought the biggest smile, as she had over 30 years of happy memories there with not just Doug and Brenda but also with her dear sister Bonnie Miller who proceeded her in 2015.

Family meant everything to Marilyn. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and was cherished by her many nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews and even great greats! While she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack, her son, Billy and six of her seven siblings, she found immense joy in her extended family and friends. She is survived by many family members to include her brother Doug Andrew (Huntington Beach), her nephew Doug Miller (Oakdale CA), along with many relatives down south to include Kathy, Erin, Julie, Karey, Susan, Tracy and … well, so many to name but she loved them all.

A special ‘Thank You’ to Escalon Ambulance and Fire that would give Marilyn big hugs during National Night Out, to Seva Hospice for the exceptional services from the RN’s all the way down to the Bereavement Staff, to Vineyard Pharmacy for being the most exceptional pharmacy our facility could ever ask for and last but not least to the Care Staff (Caregivers, Activity Coordinator / Phyllis, Facility Manager / Daisy) at Brenda’s Place for making every day so special for Marilyn and her facility family!

A private Celebration of Life will be held at the Facility with our amazing “Elvis” aka Tony and another celebration down south in late April where many stories will be told, laughs will be heard and tears will be shed.

Sweet Auntie M will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, caregivers and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

We love you Auntie … then, now and always!
