Margaret Cecelia Clifford, 98, of Oakdale, CA, born March 6, 1927, died peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She lived in Escalon, Modesto, and Oakdale before retiring to Oakmont of Brookside Senior Living in Stockton.
She was a woman with great energy and a strong work ethic holding down a fulltime job while raising her children and working side by side with her husband on their almond ranch in Escalon, CA.
Margaret enjoyed line dancing, tap dancing, gardening, painting, reading, and gatherings with her family. She and her late husband were members of several car clubs including the Oakdale Model A Club.
She touched the lives of many people and she will be remembered for her quiet strength, sharp wit, and love for her family.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Karen Ulmer (Dennis), Linda Peterson (Berwyn), Diann Boger (Dave); four grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother Alice Raymond, her father Harley C Raymond, brothers Edward Raymond, Harley C Raymond Jr., and her loving husband Richard L. Clifford.
A private Memorial/Celebration of Life will be held on June 8, 2025, at The Red Barn in Stockton, CA, for family and friends from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
