Frank C. Freitas, 85, passed away on Monday, Dec. 28.
Born on July 13, 1915 in Arcada, CA, he was a resident of Ripon for 58 years.
He was a member of the Ripon Grange, UPEC, PFSA, and SES. He visited residents of Bethany Home weekly for over 35 years, was an avid gardener and loved playing pinochle. His family and friends will miss him greatly.
Survivors include his sister, Filomena Souza; children, Irene Pires, Vicki Grogan, Anita Koleman and Don Davis; son-in-law Raymond Lial; grandchildren, Cynthia Fuzie, JoAnn Pelayo, Debra Pires, Treena Lial, Renee Lial and Ray Lial; great-grandchildren, Irene Pelayo and Michael Fuzie.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alexandrina Freitas; daughters, Betty Freitas and Florinda Lial and second wife, Dolores Freitas.
Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 5 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. Rosary/Mass will be Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church followed by burial at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Home, 930 West Main St., Ripon, CA 95366.
