Doris Elaine Heard went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, April 25, 2025. She was 89 years old.

Doris was born on September 28, 1935 to Jim and Margret Downer in French Camp, CA. She lived in Escalon her entire life except for a few years in Coalinga, CA and Shasta County. She graduated from Escalon High School and worked as a Bookkeeper and Office Manager in the Medical and Dental fields for many years.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Roland Heard. She is survived by her daughter Patty (Charlie) Brown and son Cliff (Cheri) Heard. She loved and was loved by her five grandchildren Karen (Oscar) Luna, Vince (Julie) Powell, Taneatha Duncan, Chellie (Gabe) Kovacs, and Justin (Bailee) Heard. She was blessed with eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Norma (Doug) Braun.

Doris’ life was celebrated at Burwood Cemetery on May 9, 2025 at 10 a.m.
