David Marino, 85, of Escalon, California passed away January 8, 2026. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his wife of 61 years, Donna; his daughters, Melinda, Michele, Tamara; grandchildren Rachel, Sarah, Joseph and Alicia.

He was a lifelong resident of Escalon; graduated in 1957 from Escalon High School (Go Cougars!) and attended Modesto Jr. College. He went on to a 40-year dedicated career in the grocery industry as a retail clerk and manager. David loved Escalon and the people who lived here. He was a charter member of the Escalon Historical Society and will be remembered on their next Reminiscence Day, February 4 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Grounded in faith, he built lasting connections through service, fellowship, and his love for preserving local history. Nothing would have pleased him more than a visit to the Historical Society to chat about the past and remember the history and fun times he had in his town.
