Bernice “B” Hogan passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Modesto on July 26, 2016 at the age of 87. Bernice was born on April 16, 1929 in Modesto to Raymond and Bessie Barmore. Bernice was a former resident of Escalon and has lived in Modesto for the past 30 years.
Bernice was an avid painter who enjoyed spending her time traveling. She enjoyed playing golf, tennis and she loved to snow ski. Above all else, Bernice loved her family. She was a wonderful mother, and grandmother that will be deeply missed.
Bernice leaves behind her children: Dale Hogan (Traci), Teri Hogan Lucas (Ron), Mark Hogan (Ruth) and Jeff Hogan (Lori), her grandchildren: Ryan Hogan, Raini Gomez, Tyler Lucas, Haley Pedone, Zachary Hogan, Travis Hogan, Kenzie Hogan, Trevor Hogan, Wyatt Hogan and Grant Hogan along with 11 great grandchildren. Bernice also leaves behind her siblings, Jan Barmore, Dorothy Jones, and Jerrie Hogan. Bernice is preceded in death by her twin sister, Betty Carlson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 30 at 11 a.m. at Saron Lutheran Church in Escalon. Please consider donations in Bernice’s name to Community Hospice.
