Barbara Ann Smith Belger Rose peacefully passed away at the age of 77 years old on May 6, 2023. Barbara was born in Modesto, California January 31, 1946. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elvie and Lawrence L Smith and her brother Darrel Smith. Barbara is survived by her husband, Edward Rose; her brother Lester Smith; her sons, Brian Belger (Tana), Vernon K Belger III (Stacey). Barbara has six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Barbara enlisted in the US Navy April 7, 1966 and later as a nurse for Stanislaus County hospital. Barbara raised both her sons in Escalon and upon retirement Barbara and her husband of 26 years, Edward Rose, moved to Cottonwood, Arizona. Barbara loved her Facebooking, gardening, flowers, traveling and friends. Funeral services will be held at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon at 12 p.m. on July 7, 2023.
