Work day opportunity July 19 at Oak Grove

Volunteers are being sought to take part in the next Native Plant Trail and Village Work Day, being hosted at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. The park is at 4520 W. Eight Mile Road, Stockton, and participants will meet at the Nature Center at the park, with the Saturday, July 19 work day scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Tasks will include keeping the trail weeded and trimmed as well as prepare the Pollinator Garden for fall planting.

Those planning to attend are asked to bring gloves and small hand tools if available; label tools with your name and phone number. Wear closed-toed shoes, sunscreen and the use of bug spray is recommended as well. Adults must be present with minors; no pets, please.
