Saturday night, Sept. 27 featured the traditional ‘build your own omelet’ dinner hosted at Escalon United Methodist Church along Jackson Avenue in Escalon. Here, workers put the finishing touches on the buffet line while the first customers line up to have their omelets freshly cooked with the ingredients they chose to have inside. Organizers said it was a successful event and now they are gearing up for the 28th annual Holiday Bazaar. The bazaar is set for Saturday, Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring plenty of handmade crafts, gifts and holiday items, homemade jams, jellies, frozen, ready-to-bake pies and more. The day also features a soup and pie lunch.
