The Escalon Unified School District Board of Education is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board from Trustee Area 5. The Board plans to make a provisional appointment on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025. The person selected will be appointed to serve the remainder of the current term which is through December 2026.

The vacancy is due to the recent passing of longtime board member John Largent; he served more than 40 years on the board prior to his passing in late July.

The eligibility criteria are also provided in the application. Residency in Trustee Area 5 can be verified for interested candidates by completing the District Verification form at www.escalonusd.org and returning it to the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters Candidate Services office at candidates@sjgov.org.
