Meeting with success during its inaugural year in 2024, organizers of the Farmington Fall Festival were also pleased with year number two, with the fest hosted this past Saturday, Oct. 18.
Coordinating and sponsoring the fest was the EPIC group, Everything is Possible In Christ, and the festival once again drew a large variety of vendors to Farmington for the day. EPIC meets on a regular basis at the church and offered the first fest last year, not knowing what to expect. The turnout of vendors and attendees was very good, helping make the decision to do it again an easy one.
All booths were set up in Jacob Strojan Park, which is adjacent to the Farmington United Methodist Church on Elm Street, just off Escalon-Bellota Road in Farmington.
Hours for the event were 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Several food vendors were on hand, with some sweet treats and savory bites, cotton candy, mini donuts, cold drinks, coffee and more.
Jewelry, home décor – including plenty of Halloween-themed items – handmade goods, toys, and Scentsy products were among the items featured at the merchandise vendor booths and there were area businesses on hand as well, with information and some giveaways.
Several items were offered up in opportunity drawings, with the winning tickets drawn throughout the festival.
Some kids in attendance wore costumes to add to the festive feel of the day and some vendors also offered candy at their booths.
The Farmington PTC, Parent Teacher Club, booth was stocked with plenty of homemade treats and did a steady business during the day; proceeds went to the elementary school for a variety of programs and classroom needs.
Jacob Strojan Community Park was dedicated in June 1989 by the Farmington United Methodist Church and is often used for church and community gatherings.
