The next monthly meeting of the Oakdale Garden Club is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. at the Community United Methodist Church, 1480 Poplar St., Oakdale. All gardening enthusiasts in the area are welcome to attend.

The featured speaker will be Pam Grassmidt from the Modesto Bonsai Club. “Introduction to Bonsai, a Living Art” is the topic for Grassmidt’s talk, and she will also bring some bonsai examples to show. Questions are welcome at the end of the presentation and the speaker plans to provide some information on bonsai collections in California open to the public.

New members and guests are always welcome at the club meetings. The garden club has many opportunities to join in activities in the community.
