The first of the season Sunday in the Park event is scheduled this weekend in Escalon. Sponsored by the Escalon Chamber of Commerce, the festivities are planned in and around the Main Street Park on June 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Throughout the park on Sunday, there will be classic automobiles on display, owned by members of the Modesto Regional Horseless Carriage Club, while kids can also take time to make Father’s Day cards. Assisting with the cards will be Gerri Andrade from Stampin’ Up and local Heck of a Deal proprietor Will Hecht, in cooperation with Lorina Cajias of Lorina’s Edible Garden, will help kids plant seedlings to take home.
