Escalon High School students Brenden Berchtold and Esmeralda Prado, along with music teacher Joel Adams recently took a three-day trip to Fresno. There, a total of 400 high honor choir students gathered together to learn music and perform it. “It was a culminating event for the California Choral Directors Association, with two full days of rigorous rehearsals and a final performance of five songs on November 8,” Adams explained. Berchtold, a senior, and Prado, a junior, auditioned and earned spots in the highly sought after choir. Berchtold sang First Tenor and Prado sang First Alto “for challenging and fun songs under the direction of a collegiate level choir directors association,” added Adams.
