David Quackenbush

Members of the Golden Valley Health Centers (GVHC) Board of Directors recently announced the appointment of David Quackenbush as the new Chief Executive Officer. After an extensive search process, Quackenbush was selected for the top leadership role and will become CEO effective May 1.

“The Board is very excited about what David will bring to the organization,” said Board of Directors Chairman, John Price. “We have seen his work over the past year and a half and have been impressed by his strategies focused on increasing organizational efficiency, expanding patient access, and improving healthcare outcomes. David also brings a very collaborative approach to leadership and believes whole heartedly in our mission, vision, and core values.”

Quackenbush has served as GVHC’s Chief Strategy Officer since January of 2023, and comes with vast health center experience spanning 25 years. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of leadership in the industry. Much of his career has been in health care advocacy, working toward greater access for diverse, low-income communities. In addition to his advocacy work, he has led Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and FQHC-related associations through strategic growth initiatives, health care insurance coverage expansions and transitions through managed care delivery systems. At Golden Valley Health Centers he has overseen the development of a three-year strategic plan. He has also developed strategies to increase organizational efficiencies.

“I look forward to this tremendous responsibility and opportunity,” said Quackenbush. “We have a great team at Golden Valley Health Centers that I am excited to be working with and I share their commitment to our communities. I am excited to carry the legacy of GVHC into the future and will continue collaborating with our staff and partners to ensure continued access to high quality, comprehensive primary care services. I have spent my 25-year career with FQHCs and I am humbled to be the next CEO of GVHC.”

Quackenbush will succeed Tony Weber who has served as the CEO of Golden Valley Health Centers since April of 2014.
