Saturday, Nov. 22 will feature a couple of special events in the area.
First, it’s the annual food collection conducted through eTrans, the City of Escalon transit service, which will be hosted at MarVal Main Street Market at 1900 McHenry Ave., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Working in cooperation with C.A.R.E., the Community Action Resources of Escalon, food pantry, eTrans will host the “Stuff This Bus” food drive with a bus parked on site and shoppers encouraged to donate to help meet food needs of those in the community that need a little extra help putting food on the table during the holiday season.
Customers of Mar Val that purchase any item that is donated to this cause will receive a discount off their purchases at the store during the event. There are also pre-packaged bags of food available for purchase to donate. All donations will benefit C.A.R.E.
