The Escalon Senior Fun Bunch November event is always a popular gathering, largely thanks to the beloved soup luncheon. More than 75 guests savored bowls of homemade soup at the recent Wednesday, Nov. 19 Fun Bunch session, followed by generous slices of pumpkin and apple pie for dessert. The afternoon was about more than just lunch; it was a well-rounded event filled with activities and learning. Sonya Huff, a local art teacher, led the crowd in a fall leaf watercolor activity, bringing out the creative spirit in everyone. Carol Shipley, retired Assistant District Attorney, provided valuable information about Family Justice Centers. To cap off the afternoon, Lorie Avila guided guests through an energetic Pound Stick fitness activity, helping everyone burn off some of those delicious lunch calories. In addition, attendees had the opportunity to shop at the ESFB Boutique.
The next Escalon Senior Fun Bunch monthly gathering is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 17 at the Escalon Community Center, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The theme will be “Winter Wonderland” and the ESFB Boutique will be set up to provide an opportunity for last-minute holiday shopping. All Escalon Senior Fun Bunch events are free to seniors in Escalon and its surrounding towns.
