Dos Reis, Mossdale Crossing Regional Parks Fully Open
San Joaquin Zoo

With the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department removing all restrictions on the San Joaquin River, county park officials have reopened Mossdale Crossing Regional Park, as well as boat launching at neighboring Dos Reis Regional Park.

The river’s rising waters, a result of last winter’s abundant storm season, had sparked flood concerns at both Lathrop-area parks. As waters are still running high, cold and fast, extra precautions are strongly encouraged for those planning to be near or on the water. Life vests should always be a priority, especially for children.

Day-use facilities at both parks are open from 8 a.m. until posted closing time. Single vehicle entry fee is $5 weekdays, $6 weekends and most holidays. Vehicles over 22 feet in length or with a tow are $12.

For now, Stillman Magee Regional Park in Clements and the Woodbridge Wilderness Area remain closed due to the water level of the Mokelumne River. There is no reopening date at this time.

Park officials will continue to assess facilities for flood concerns and may close them if conditions warrant. Visitors are encouraged to visit the San Joaquin County Parks website at www.sjparks.com, Facebook or Instagram pages for current conditions and closures.
