Just a couple of weeks remain to get your nominations in for the 2026 Escalon Unified School District Hall of Fame.

An induction ceremony is planned for March 20 and the nominations for the potential inductees must be submitted by Friday, Jan. 30.

The district’s Hall of Fame permanently honors individuals who have made significant contributions within the District.

The applications can be picked up at the District Office, 1520 Yosemite Ave., and can also be accessed online through the District website at www.escalonusd.org.

The district plans to honor between one and five inductees each year.

There are specific regulations and categories. Those eligible for nomination include:

Alumni of Escalon Unified Schools; nominations are accepted no sooner than five years after graduation.

A member of the community.

A district employee or school board member; with nominations accepted no sooner than five years after they leave/retire from District service.

A parent of a student who has attended Escalon schools. Parents shall not be eligible until their children have been out of school for five years.

The Board of Trustees also reserves the right to waive any criteria if special circumstances warrant that action.

Original inductees, in 1997, were Lloyd C. Engel, Jacob C. Klessens and James L. Pritchard. Since then, there have been three more induction ceremonies, in 2006, 2024 and 2025, with a total of 13 people enshrined during those events.
