More than two dozen senior football players, along with multiple cheerleaders, band and choir members, were honored at the first home football game of the season for Escalon.

The recognition came on Aug. 22 as school officials decided to move it forward so as not to conflict later in the season with any key Trans-Valley League games.

Following is a list of the honorees; the football players were recognized prior to the varsity kickoff, with the cheerleaders, band and choir members honored at halftime. All were accompanied by a variety of family members as they were saluted for their contributions.

Senior football players: Ben Gonzalez, Logan Huebner, Aydun Melo, Luca Cerasi, Daniel Marrufo, Mason Haverkamp, Ben Ferreira, Donovan Martinez, Otto Perreira, Chase Cummings, Ricardo Felix Chavez, Benjamin Lester, Marcos Valencia, Kamari Castro, Co Northcutt, Ernesto Gomez, Nathan Cedolini, Beau Morgan, Jeremy Grivette, Logan Wentzell, Max Gonzalez, Preston Sizuela, Rylan Koops, Angel Pesqueira, Lorenzo Teixeira, Jorge Salmeron and Jorge Ramos.

Senior cheerleaders: Madi Weaver, Itzel Mancilla, Jacqueline Aguayo, Carolina Torres, Gianna Wilson, Tatem Esteves, Natalie Ruiz, Cambri Ware, Hazel Scarborough, Annabelle Armstrong and Mackenzie McLaury.
