As they have for several years, members of the Farmington Fire Department will once again be putting on a special holiday celebration.

All are encouraged to attend an Open House event on Friday, Dec. 19 for the annual Community Christmas Party, offered at the Farmington Fire Station, corner of Highway 4 and Escalon-Bellota Road.

Doors to the firehouse will open at 6:30 p.m., with Santa scheduled to arrive on a fire engine at 7 p.m.

Those attending will enjoy refreshments, including homemade cookies and other sweet treats, hot and cold beverages, holiday music and the chance to share some holiday joy together.

Each child in attendance has the opportunity to visit with Santa and have their picture taken with him, and each also receives a gift to take home.

The Community Christmas Party has been a staple in the community for years, helping to kick off the holiday season.
