Coming up later this month, Saron Lutheran Church will be hosting its annual bunco fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 13.

All proceeds from this event go to the Escalon Ministerial Association to provide food vouchers for those in need during the holidays. The cost for the Sept. 13 event is $25 and includes a baked potato bar dinner and bunco. Raffle tickets for some fun prizes are available separately. This year there will be an additional raffle for a beautiful handmade quilt.

Dinner starts at 4:30 p.m. with bunco following at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available from 9 a.m. until noon at Saron Lutheran Church at 1742 North St., Escalon. They may also be purchased at the door that night, but organizers said it would be appreciated if people could call the church at 209-838-7695 if they intend to purchase at the door to help with count for planning food purchases.

All in the community are encouraged to join in for a fun evening while helping with addressing food insecurity in the community.
