Sunny skies and warm early summer temperatures greeted attendees at the 2025 Vacation Bible School, hosted by Escalon Presbyterian Church this past week.

With the theme “Magnified” the VBS was offered Monday through Friday, June 16 through 20, for a few hours each morning.

Attendees ranged from pre-K students to sixth graders, with youth in seventh grade on up able to help out as assistant leaders, working with the adult group leaders. There was a time for worship, music, outdoor games, crafts and snack, with the VBS also collecting food donations for the local C.A.R.E. food pantry during the week.

The theme of Magnified was from Psalm 34:3, encouraging attendees to discover “The bigness of God in the smallest of things.”

Kids were grouped by age/grade level and rotated through the various stations each day. The Pre-K/K students were known as the Ladybugs and the first and second graders were Bumblebees. The third and fourth graders were Butterflies and the fifth and sixth grade attendees were known as the Dragonflies.

The final day on Friday featured a hot dog lunch for all attendees and their families, with a special closing program with music, Bible verses and singing put on by the VBS kids, followed by the lunch.
