Community Medical Centers (CMC) will host its Annual Gala, A Black & White Masquerade, on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., at the Stockton Golf & Country Club. Proceeds from this year’s event will support completion of CMC’s new Adolescent Health Center. The Gala also launches the public phase of CMC’s Capital Campaign to raise the final $1.5 million toward the $10 million project.
The Gala will include dinner and dancing, along with live and silent auctions, and will bring together donors, sponsors, and community partners to help advance the new Center. Major sponsors include Cambridge Investment Research/Nationwide, Health Plan of San Joaquin, Merino Computer Concepts, University of the Pacific, and WMB Architects.
“This Gala marks an important moment for our organization and our community,” said Greg Diederich, CEO of Community Medical Centers. “The Adolescent Health Center represents a long-term investment in the health and well-being of young people across our region. We are grateful to our supporters who are helping make this next chapter possible.”
With adolescent health as a central focus, the Gala will celebrate CMC’s long-standing role in community-based care, from its beginnings as a volunteer effort serving farmworkers in the 1960s to its work today as a primary care provider serving communities across San Joaquin and Solano counties. The new Center will expand access to specialized, age-appropriate care that supports both young people and the families who care for them.
CMC will honor several organizations and individuals at the Gala for their contributions to improving health and well-being in the community. Health Plan of San Joaquin will receive the Community Partner Award. Elizabeth Morrison Consulting will receive the Business Partner Award. Retired CMC Board Member Lily Aman will be honored with the Legacy Award. The CMC Hero Award will be presented to a current employee, to be announced.
