Jeanette Elizabeth "Betty" Joseph, 86, passed away from natural causes on October 10, 2007 at Valley Comfort in Modesto.

Born on April 27, 1921 in Stockton to Stanley and Bessie Cabral, she was a resident of Escalon for 60 years, spending about 25 years working with her husband on their dairy. She enjoyed reading, gardening and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her children Joseph Jr. and his wife Edith Joseph of Fayetteville North Carolina, Joanne Andujo of Escalon and daughter-in-law Barbara Joseph of Modesto; her grandchildren, Lori Russell of Littleton Colorado, Barbara Windley of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Edward Wistos of Portland, Oregon, Carolyn Wallace of Howe, Texas, Shelly Husary of Antelope, Joseph Wistos of Reno, Nevada and Joanne Joseph of Fayetteville, North Carolina; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and her siblings, Stanford and his wife Lorraine Cabral of Stockton and Catherine Hinds of Coos Bay, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Joseph Sr. in 1997, and her son Robert Joseph earlier this year.

Visitation was on Tuesday, October 16 at Deegan Funeral Chapel, Escalon. Private services. Deegan Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
