Edmond Ozenne

Edmond Lawrence Ozenne, 87, of Escalon passed away on Monday, Sept. 3 at Acacia Conv. Hospital in Modesto, after a short battle with cancer. He was a resident of Escalon for 42 years. Mr. Ozenne was born on February 28, 1920 in Los Angeles, California. He was a decorated WWII veteran of the Army, serving two terms. His passion was the dairy business and in his later years he enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He also enjoyed spending time at the Escalon Sportsman's Club.

Survivors include his son, Michael Ozenne of Escalon; his daughter, Catherine Areias of Modesto; grandson Justin Van Groningen of Ripon; sister Rose Potter of Colorado; and brother Michael Ozenne of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean in 1993, and his sister Mary Mestrovich in 2002. Visitation and services were Monday, Sept. 10 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Highway 120 in Escalon. Burial followed at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
