Albert "Al" Miller, 68, passed away on Wednesday, July 18 at his home in Escalon.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and had lived in Escalon for 19 years.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Elenore Miller; children and in-laws, Robert Anthony Miller and Heather Lester of Antioch, Sue Marie and Robert Montgomery of Modesto and Cindi and Barry Leitner of Oakdale; and five grandchildren, Steven and Jordan Miller of Modesto, Tyler Leitner of Oakdale and Madison and Robert "Robbie" Miller of Antioch.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all. He was an avid fisherman and loved his dogs. He was also known as a hard worker who was devoted to his good friends in the dairy business.

A Memorial Mass took place at the St. Frances of Rome Church in Riverbank on Monday July 23 at 11 a.m. Private burial followed.

Remembrances may be made to St. Jude's Children's Foundation, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or a charity of the donor's choice.
