Mark your calendar so you don’t miss the 15th Annual Odd Fellows’ Catfish Dinner, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16. The meal will be served from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the IOOF Hall in downtown La Grange. Tickets are $30 at the door, and the address is 30018 Yosemite Blvd., Highway 132, in La Grange.

Those attending will sit down in the comfortable banquet room to a hearty serving of deep fried catfish fillet, corn on the cob, slaw salad and cornbread, with ice cream sundaes for dessert.

Catfish Dinner tickets will also be available at the Odd Fellows’ monthly breakfast on Sunday, Aug. 10 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The breakfast menu is ham and cheese omelet, sausages, biscuits and gravy, and pancakes, with coffee and orange juice, all for $10 with special prices for kids.

The 1881 vintage IOOF Hall in downtown La Grange is home of Lafayette Lodge #65, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, which has been serving the town of La Grange since 1857.
